Fairmont Copacabana

The Fairmont Copacabana opened in 2019 as the brand’s first hotel in Latin America. The project, a retrofit of an old hotel, was designed to show guests and visitors the cool, cheerful and cheerful climate of Rio de Janeiro, creating spaces that provide well-being and comfort.

The stunning common areas include two swimming pools, served by a bar and restaurant. This space also provides a perfect immersion in Brazilian design, as it features iconic pieces by designers of renowned products from the country. It was also decided to work with color schemes that represented the golden age of Rio de Janeiro in the 50s and 60s.

Rio de Janeiro has an extraordinary design history, so we wanted to show the timelessness and also the cheerful spirit of Rio on every corner. We opted to use as many natural materials as possible, such as wood, linen or stone, to bring a more relaxed and classic Rio climate to the hotel.
