Located on a private Caribbean island, just a few kilometers from Antigua, Jumby Bay Island is an isolated paradise, with beautiful scenery and white sand beaches. The freshness of the island’s idyllic setting was the main inspiration for the renovation of the common areas of property’s interior design, which is part of the Oetker Collection group.

As the Caribbean has such a strong identity, our primary instinct was to create a project that could blend in with the landscape, while also bringing a contemporary flair. Our main goal was to take the easygoing energy and breezy feel everywhere we went and also that referenced the rich history of the site. We opted to work with natural palettes to mimic the outside landscape. We wanted to bring the feeling of always being in touch with the outdoors and to establish a true connection to the place we were in.

Our compositions have many layers to them, and each is an opportunity to create an experience by playing with shape, color, and materials. We always search for local culture to make something unique, so we’ve chosen to use elements that would not only bring this rich history to the project but also praise the local heritage.
